The Future of Israel

Paul said in Roman 11:1, " Hath God cast away His people? " If God promised them unconditionally a posterity and a possession, it was God who made the choice. What did Abram know about God? God had to reveal Himself to Abram. It wasn't Abram's choice, it was God's choice. What kind of a God would He be if He welched on His promise to Abram?
Paul said here, " Hath God cast away His people? God forbid. Don't you ever entertain such a thought!" He says, " I am an Israelite." " If God is finished with the Jew, look at me." Paul said, " He saved me. If God was finished with the Jew, how come I'm saved? How come God rescued me? How come God delivered me?" He uses himself as an illustration.
And when he comes to verse 25 of chapter eleven, he depicts a future for the people. He said, " I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part, { not total, eternal blindness, but blindness in part } is happened to Israel, untill the fulness of the Gentiles be come in...and so, all Israel shall be saved." Now, does that mean that every Jew will be saved? No! Read that statement in the context and it becomes understandable. " All Israel shall be saved, as it is written." and Paul goes back to the Old Testament Scriptures in Isaiah: " There shall come out of Zion the Deliverer that shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob, and this is my covenant unto them when I shall take away their sins."
You see who the Israelites are here who have a future? Those who, when the Messiah comes, will fulfill the prophecy of Isaiah 53, and will look upon Him and say, "...he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities, the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed," Oftentimes, Bible teachers misinterpret that passage.
That is a prophetic passage. It hasn't been fulfilled yet. This is what believing Israel will say when the Messiah returns----and thse who receive Him are those that will be saved, when the Deliverer comes, and God's covenant with Israel is finalized.
Yes, there is a future for this nation. God made an unconditional promise. But you and I may not be around on this earth when that is fulfilled. How does this relate to you and me now? Well we are having our opportunity to receive that same Redeemer, that same Messiah, that same Savior, that same Deliverer. We have our opportunity today. To receive Him is to receive the life of God; to reject Him is to live throughout the endless ages of eternity separated from God.
I have been asked many times, " How do you witness to a Jew?" I answer, " the same way that I witness to a Gentile." They are all sinners. The Gentile is no better than the Jew, and the Jew is no better than the Gentile. We are all sinners, we have a common Savior. I have one method of witnessing. There is no one in this room one bit better than anyone else. We are all in need of the only Redeemer that God ever sent to save an individual...and whether you be Jew or Gentile today, " Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved."
Acts 16:31
