INTRODUCTION
Introduction:
Dr. Lehman Strauss, a Jewish believer, was one of America's best known Bible teachers and authors. For a number of years he devoted himself to Bible conference and evangelistic ministry which took him to over forty meetings each year, coast to coast, and to foreign countries.
Dr. Strauss taught Old Testament history at the Philadelphia College of the Bible for eight years and sered as pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church in Bristol, Pennsylvania, from 1939 to 1957. He was pastor of the Highland Park Baptist Church in southfield, Michigan, untill 1963.
Without question, he was one of the best loved teachers of the Word of God in the nation. His " Bible Study Time" radio broadcast was heard by millions. Dr. Strauss was a member of the Advisory Board of International Board of Jewish Missions, Inc., and close friends of the founder, Dr. Jacob Gartenhaus.
Led to Christ by his wife, Dr. Strauss continued to care for her after she had a debilitating stroke. Following her death, he remarried at the age of 82.Dr. Strauss suffered a heart attack while flying to a meeting in 1997 and died soon afterwards. He was active in God's work up untill his final hours.
This inspiring message was delivered at the Fourth Annual " Honor Israel " Banquet sponsored by IBJM in 1982. It shows the love Dr. Strauss had for Israel and his personal burden to see Jewish people saved. I believe that it will prove to be a real blessing to your heart.
